Hayfa's advice to all other RST student: "Stay organized and make room for personal tim. Schedule it in if you are really busy in order to make sure it is happening."
Hayfa Aboukier is the February recipient of the RST Student of the Month Award selected by the Sport, Tourism and Recreation Association (STAR)—the undergraduate student club. She recently received the Charles K. Brightbill award, which recognizes an outstanding senior in the Department of Recreation, Sport and Tourism and the recipient of the George and Mary Lowery Scholarship. Hayfa attended the IPRA Conference in 2007 and participated in I-programs/leadership conference.

Hayfa's enjoys traveling, trying new food, and learning about different cultures. For the next two years Hayfa will be part of the Teach for America corp in Phoenix. She is an extremely dedicated individual who truly wants to make a difference in society. Hayfa appreciates and is inspired by the faculty and their dedication to the future of their students.
