• Q. Where are you employed? What is your Title?
• I am employed by the St. Louis Rams. My title is Business Development Support Intern but my work would be best described as sponsorship services. I am here through the season and hope to be offered a full time position when my internship is finished.
• Q. What is your favorite part of your job?
• My favorite sport is football so attending the games is the most rewarding part of the job.
• Q. What do you consider to be your most valuable contribution to your organization for which you work?
• Helping to develop our Kids Club.
• Q. Given your career path, where do you see yourself in 10 years?
• In 10 years I see myself as a director of marketing in the NFL. Sponsorship falls in the marketing department.
• Q. Do you have any words of advice/recommendations? a. for undergrads still searching for a major-would you recommend RST and why?, b. for the undergrads currently in the program c. for the senior currently looking for his/her first position.
• a. I think RST is a good major but I also think it is good to support that with a minor. Most of the people I work with do not have majors in an RST related field, but that is partly because of the relatively young nature of our field. Though RST teaches a variety of things it is good to have even more experience in finances or marketing through a business minor in order to give you a more complete background. That being said experience trumps any degree you can receive, and getting involved in things while in school is a good step to set yourself up for success. I would definitely recommend RST, but that alone is not enough to get you where you want to go.
  b. For undergrads in the department, as mentioned above, GET EXPERIENCE!
  c. Be humble. Going from senior to bottom of the totem pole is not an easy thing.
